My client, a global packaging company is looking for an experienced standalone Business Development Executive to grow their Scottish presence across the Central Belt.  With Scottish headquarters based in Angus, you will be supported by a strong sales and production team as well as the Country Manager.

As the driving force behind generating new sales leads and contacts, you will have excellent time management skills, high emotional intelligence and be a natural influencer and negotiator.

Using a consultative sales approach to building relationships and a natural ability to quickly build rapport, you will grow existing business and create new opportunities for my client.

You will have a proven track record and have the ability to:

  • identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
  • generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • engage with customers face to face or over the phone
  • understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business
  • work strategically – carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes

We are looking for someone who can work independently in a methodical and strategic manner whilst being supported remotely.
