Key Personnel are looking for experienced Radiation Protection Supervisors (RPS) to join our client based in Aberdeen.  Reporting to the Onshore Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring work is performed to the highest level in accordance with the regulations for the removal and disposal operations, adhering to all industry regulations and procedures.

You will be required to demonstrate high levels of motivation with an enthusiasm to share knowledge.

The ability to develop new start crew members to enhance skills levels ensuring they can perform as part of a team is a key responsibility of this position.

Primarily positioned offshore however this position could be based onshore

TASKS:

  • Carry out risk assessments and tool box talks
  • Supervise the removal and disposal of LSA / NORM contaminated materials
  • Carry out compliance paperwork for company and client
  • Close out of work pack with onshore engineer
  • Set clearly defined objectives; plans activities and projects well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • RPS Qualification
  • Class 7 Dangerous Goods by Sea and Air
  • Water Jetting Association mandatory Safety Course
  • Confined Space / Vessel Entry including BA
  • Working at Height – Unit 2 (Desirable)
  • Experience in Radiation/NORM Handling and Disposal within the Oil and Gas Industry
  • OPITO BOSIET and MIST
  • CA EBS
  • Proven track record in related activity
  • Conversant with all relevant standards, specifications and rules.
  • Task based risk assessment training
  • Hazard Identification Skills
  • Strong Safety Leadership Skills
  • Work with heightened awareness of HSEQ
  • Computer Literate
  • Highly organised and able to meet deadlines
