Our sister company is a leading marquee hire company based in Dundee, Scotland, specialising in providing high-quality marquees and event structures for a wide range of occasions, including weddings, corporate events, festivals, and private parties.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to join the growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance and dismantling of marquees and event structures working closely with both the crew and the management team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, to a high standard, and in line with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management: Lead and manage the installation and dismantling of marquees and event structures on client sites, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and professionally.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate a team of marquee installers, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow on-site.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being carried out to meet company standards and client expectations, ensuring that all marquees are set up correctly and securely.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety procedures and regulations are followed on-site, conducting risk assessments and taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients on-site to ensure their requirements are met and provide excellent customer service.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of marquee equipment and tools, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise on-site and find effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning and scheduling installations, ensuring that deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to new and junior staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the marquee hire industry or a similar field, with a strong understanding of marquee setup, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in varying weather conditions.
  • Full UK driving license (preferably with a category C1 for driving larger vehicles).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required for events.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
